Go Forward

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward” Exodus 14:15, KJV.

Don’t stay in the place of what I call the “In Between”. This is the place of indecision. It is the place we wrestle with staying where we are in life and doing what God wants us to do to reach our Promised Land.

Israel had this same dilemma as they made their exodus from Egypt into their promised land. While escaping, they arrived at the Red Sea and it appeared they couldn’t go any farther. Their enemy was behind them, the Red Sea in front of them and they know they can’t stay where they are. Stuck in between, Israel faced a life-changing moment of decision at the Red Sea. God told them to go forward. Moses obeyed God, the Red Sea split miraculously before them and they continued to their Promised Land.

You may be at your own Red Sea. The thoughts of wondering will what God is telling you to do work, will they respond, are you equipped, are you good enough, how will you get the resources, and you have no clue what you are doing will surely come. Your Red Sea will split before you, obstacles will move, doors will open, you will see the favor of God, and what appeared impossible with man, is possible with God.

You can’t stay where you are. Do what God has called you to do. Go forward.

Prayer: Father, I thank You and I know You are telling me to go forward with what You want me to do. I can’t stay here any longer. Help me to obey and not fear. I will do what You’ve called me to do. Today I say yes, I will go forward! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
