For those times you feel like giving up…

“Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance” Psalm 42:5, NKJV.

David had struggles, and the truth is we all do. We all have those times that we feel like giving up. We feel like getting away from life. We feel like not going any farther. We are getting attacked by the enemy on the left and on the right, and we wonder why.

God wants you to do something for Him. Praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord that you’re alive. Praise the Lord that you know Him and He’s in control. Praise Him that He’s going to see you through it. Praise Him that trouble and tests aren’t meant to last, but to be passed. Praise Him because you wouldn’t be experiencing the enemy’s pursuit to stop you if there wasn’t something glorious he’s trying to keep you from. The greater the attack, the greater the victory.

Let your praise rooted in His truth lead the way, not your feelings. Let your praise remind you that His word is true, you’re still blessed and God hasn’t left you. He brought David through it, and He will do it for you.

Prayer: Father, I needed that. Thank You for encouraging me when no one knew I felt like giving up. Help me deep in my soul right now. Like David, I will praise the Lord. Jesus is greater in me and You haven’t left me. As I praise You, speak to my heart Your truth and the unstoppable plans you have for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
