For the successful man, when the call comes.

“Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Luke‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.

God is not oblivious to calling successful men. Simon Peter was a fisherman and had his own boat. Then, God miraculously showed him what he could do and called him. He left being a fisherman and followed Jesus, who made him a fisher of men. God’s heartbeat is not what you’ve achieved naturally. He will call you to let your six-figure job go without any hesitation. His utmost desire is that you achieve spiritually. His utmost desire is for you to accomplish advancing His kingdom and walk out every calling and assignment He has given you.

The Lord is speaking and calling men right now. Like Simon Peter, that call could come when you have just caught the catch of your life. Yet, it was the Lord that did it. His hand has been the source of it all. Jesus could be asking you to pivot into doing something else with your life, begin a work or serve at your church. Be encouraged to know that on the other side of your obedience, whatever that call looks like for you, is an abundant life and an eternal reward that money or a company can never provide. Jesus is coming. I pray you answer when the call comes.

Prayer: Father, I praise you and see your heartbeat for souls, for people. Make that my heartbeat as well. However that looks like for my life, help me to forsake all and follow you, Jesus. Father, I want your kind of success. I want the blessing of an eternal reward, an eternal crown that I did what you called me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
