“Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day…And He said, ‘Let Me go, for the day breaks.’ But he said, ‘I will not let You go unless You bless me!’ “, Genesis 32:24-26, NKJV.
Jacob said he wouldn’t let go of the Lord until he blessed him. He could have said I’ll remain how I am, but he didn’t. He was going to settle for nothing less than God’s best.
You may feel tempted or pressured right now to settle or choose something less than what God has spoken about your life, but don’t settle. Make settling not an option for you. Make settling for what you know you really don’t desire an option for you. He has some things for you, even before this year is out, and remain aggressive about receiving them. Roll up your sleeves and cooperate with the Holy Spirit regarding the will of God for you.
Don’t settle now. Settle for nothing less than His best.
Prayer: Father, I thank You that You have some things that You have said You are going to do, and I will not settle for anything less than Your will for me. Show me my part and help me to do it by Your Spirit. I will listen and obey You. I declare that I will settle. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

This devotional message came at the right time?? Hallelujah ?? Praise God ?? My husband and myself had a decision to make about a particular situation, we was struggling with making the right choice and not just settling because the situation was just there in front of us at the time, and we wasn’t patient, just in a hurry, so, we was about to settle for something less and not the best, but, I told my husband, let’s pray and if God says it’s the best thing for us, than we will do it. To make a long story short, God, show my husband, it wasn’t the best decision for us to make at that time, and He had something greater in stored for us.???? Hallelujah, Praise God.
