Be a Humble Man

“By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life” Proverbs 22:4, NKJV.

Humility has several meanings, but one is to bend the knee out of high reverence and honor of God’s sovereignty. We decline to have control, and we bend down in our hearts, allowing God’s will as the only counsel that stands in our lives, even above our own. We decline how we think we should love someone to how God says we should love them.

Bend the knee and allow the Father to be Lord, your provider, your guide, and your strength. Let Him, minister to you. Let Him give you a second wind, heal and bless your life. It all begins with recognizing your constant need for God.

It’s not easy, but it comes a moment when we have to decide to move our will and our way out of His seat, making empty His rightful place in our lives. When He is allowed His rightful place in our lives, the stage is set for a permanent change.

Prayer: Father, I sincerely thank You for Your word. Humility is vital to my relationship with You and any change in my life. Help me to be more of a humble man than I’ve ever been before. I admit that I can’t fix myself, but You can. I can’t walk in my purpose and destiny without You. I bend the knee and allow You to have Your way in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
