Your Wife is Your Fountain

December 4, 2017

“Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice with the wife of your youth. As a loving deer and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and always be enraptured with her love” Proverbs 5:18-19, NKJV.

One day I had a dream of a girl in high school that I use to like. We never dated, but she was a very nice girl and I really thought highly of her. In the dream somehow we crossed each other’s paths, she was single and we began to talk. One thing led to another and next we’re hanging out, and the whole time my wife doesn’t know.

Then the dream shifted to another day and I was standing in front of the girl, telling her that I can’t do this. Mind you, our friendship doesn’t involve anything physical in the dream. It was the fact that my heart was turning toward loving another woman instead of the one I’m supposed to only desire and love. My wife shows up as I’m telling the girl and I walked away with my wife.

When I woke up, I told God I don’t feel this way, but the Lord told me this dream is for your brothers. Don’t allow your heart to turn toward another woman. This is the time to express the truth to your wife about what is going on in your heart and to let her know how you feel. This is the time to openly communicate your needs as a man and to also listen to hers. God has given you a fountain in your wife, that great woman you remember you married, and His desire is that you drink from her and her alone. You are her fountain also.

Prayer: Father, I hear You and I thank You for speaking to me. Touch my marriage Lord. Help my heart right now to stay towards my wife. Help me to not be afraid to share with my wife what’s been going on in me. I will communicate what I need to her and listen to her also. I thank You in advance for blessing us and this actually makes our marriage even stronger. She is my fountain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
