Whether Sunny or Storm, Seek Him

December 28, 2017

“Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord! Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore!” Psalm 105:3-4, NKJV.

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life…” Psalm 27:4, NKJV.

In these times, we will need to remain on our knees and sitting at His feet. We will be on our knees to pray to Him and sitting at His feet to learn of Him. We must understand that the quality of our lives rests in the quality of our seeking. What makes our seeking of quality and valuable is when it is the same in all conditions. Whether its’ sunny or we find ourselves in a storm, we are seeking Him. Whether the bank account is full or you’re waiting for Friday to come, we are seeking Him. Whether He heals you or He hasn’t, we are seeking Him.

He doesn’t want us to be conditional when it comes to seeking Him. When the storm comes and the waters rise up, we cry out for God. We use our faith, calling on Him for wisdom and to help us out of what we’re in. Yet, when the sun is out, when the blessings are overflowing, He can’t find us. Never allow blessings to take us too high that we begin to think it’s us, when it’s always because of Him.

Let your seeking be with humility, steady and constant. Before you start your day, before you make decisions, let it precede you and go before you at all times. In all conditions, develop the habit of pursuing His will, stopping to listen to the Holy Spirit’s still small voice and spending time with God. Your success is in your seeking. No matter the weather in your life, seek Him.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for all that You are in my life. No matter if it’s sunny or the storm is raging, but I make a decision to seek Your face. Even right now God I’m so blessed. I choose to continually seek You. I ask for a humble heart. No matter the weather or conditions, I declare I am a man that seeks the Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
