“Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand (be carried out).” Proverbs 19:21, Amplified.
In movies, I have seen characters get cornered in an alley. They have run as far as they can go, and then it is time to surrender. The same thing has happened with your own plans. It is humbling, but they have come as far as the Lord will allow you to go with them. Now, your plans are cornered, and the conclusion is very apparent. It’s time to let God be in the driver’s seat and surrender your plans to Him. It’s time to let the will of the Lord stand.
Nothing else is going to work, but God’s way. Like the children of Israel, your own plans will keep you going in circles in the wilderness. The Father’s plans will truly get you from where you are into your promised land.
His plan for you will not fail. He will not let you down. He is not trying to take something from you, but He’s trying to get something to you. Everything you can dream of is found within His plan for your life. Let God be God and follow Him. His plan for our lives always produces the desired outcome we’re longing for.
Confession: My plans have not worked and I realize they won’t. They are cornered and I give them up today. I choose to let God be God. I will do what You want me to do. I will follow His plan for me. I will not fear. He knows what He is doing and I choose to trust Him.
