“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness” Lamentations 3:22-23, NKJV.
The mercies of God are new every morning. You haven’t experienced the mercy you woke up to today. Whether you made a mistake, hurt someone, or you completely made a mess of something in your life, He has new mercies available for you.
This is the mindset of God: nothing old for a new day! New mercies are able to eradicate old things, if you let them. If we let new mercies do what God has intended them to produce in us, they will encourage us to forgive and leave yesterday behind.
This mercy displays the great salvation found only in Jesus Christ. Wherever you are in life, whatever you are going through, you are never too far gone. As long as He brings you life and breath for a new day, He brings new mercy with it. It’s His way of affirming to us that it is never too late — to change, to live, to love, to heal, to make it right, to be happy, to win, to finish strong.
How exceedingly great His love is toward us. How faithful He is to His word that He’ll forget about all our sins and let us start again. This morning, no matter where you are, remember and receive the triumph and joy from the new mercies of the Lord today!
Prayer: Father, I love You today. Thank You for new mercies. Because of Jesus, I am forgiven. Your hand of salvation reaches me wherever I am and revives me. It delivers and sustains me. It brings hope and joy to the core of me. My heart is full from the love You show to me every morning. Your new mercies and Your compassion never fails. You continue to bless me. Let Your will be done in my life today. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
