Maintain Your Steadfast Trust

April 7, 2020

“You know we call those blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] who were steadfast and endured [difficult circumstances]. You have heard of the patient endurance of Job and you have seen the Lord’s outcome [how He richly blessed Job]. The Lord is full of compassion and is merciful” James 5:11, Amplified.

In the face of what he didn’t understand, Job remained steadfast. Yes, he had experienced many feelings and had questions regarding what he was experiencing. Yet, at the end of the day, he maintained his steadfast trust. He never cursed God and he was used to pray for his friends. He still did what God wanted him to do.

You may have a lot of feelings right now. You may have questions and you may even be hearing the enemy talk in your ear. Yet, at the end of the day, still do what God said to do. Let nothing paralyze you to keep you from the actions, inspired by the Holy Spirit, to be used to be a blessing and to be a difference-maker. Maintain your steadfast trust. Maintain that He is doing something great and He going to richly bless your life. Endure with patience, knowing what your end will be.

Prayer: Father, I thank You and praise You. I choose to maintain a steadfast trust in You. Help me not be moved by feelings, what I see or hear. But I will only be moved by Your unchanging word. Even when I have certain feelings, at the end of the day, help me to still do what You said. Like Job, my end will be blessed. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
