Let Him Reign

March 16, 2018

“Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God. Therefore he said to Judah, “Let us build these cities and make walls around them, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us, because we have sought the Lord our God; we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.” So they built and prospered” 2 Chronicles 14:1 & 7, NKJV.

Early in his kingship, king Asa understood although he was king on the earth, God was King over all. He reigned, yet the Lord reigns over him. He let God call the shots and followed Him. Because He allowed God to reign, king Asa had no war for 36 years and had rest on every side. However, he turned away later in his life, didn’t depend on God, and from that point forward, he had wars as king.

Never forget that although you have a life, the Lord reigns. Keep Him as God and no one else. In a spirit of humility, don’t call the shots anymore, and follow Him. Do what is good in His eyes. When He reigns, His peace will reign in your life. When He reigns, His will is done in your life. His success will always be established and you will have rest on every side. You will always find your provision and rise above every circumstance.

You have been sitted in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, and nothing will keep you from dominating over your adversary the devil. You will reign because the Lord remains exalted, held high above everything in your life!

Prayer: Father, I tell You this morning You reign in my life! Nothing will be exalted in my life above You, not even myself. Keep this under-standing before me as long as I live, that You are King and to let You continually reign. Help me to always do what is good and right in your eyes. I thank You for rest on every side. Since Jesus reigns, I reign also. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
