Dealing with doubt

June 26, 2018

“Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen” Mark 16:14, NKJV.

The disciples were told more than once that Jesus was alive, but they didn’t believe. Jesus rebuked them for it. From his standpoint, he had told them that he would, and he had shown them that he had the power to do it. All the times he brought the dead back to life, which they seen him do, but they doubted he himself was alive.

When it comes to doubt, what helps us get beyond it is when we remind ourselves of the great things we believe he has done. Do you believe Jesus rose from the dead? If you do, you can believe he can make you alive again. Do you believe Jesus walked on water? Then you can believe he can do the impossible in your life right now. Do you believe scripture that he caused the blind to see and healed the sick? Then he can heal you too. Do you believe he fed thousands with a fish and loaves? Then he can get you more food in your house, change your financial status and supply all your needs.

Doubt is something the we all face, but through Christ, we can get through what we’re facing. If you can exercise your faith in what he did, you can believe he can do anything and have great joy!

Prayer: Father, thank You for all that You have done. As you remind me of all that You have done, deal with any doubt in me. Jesus, you rose from the grave! Since there’ nothing Jesus that you can’t do, there’s nothing you can’t and won’t get me through! Whenever doubt comes at me, teach me more and more to exercise my faith and walk in joy. May this truth radically change my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
