Being Willing and Obedient

April 10, 2019

“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” Isaiah 1:19, NKJV.

Just like with Israel, it’s not only about being willing and having good intentions. It’s not only about being obedient. It’s about being both. God wants us to be willing and obedient.

You may have been willing for a long time. You may having been obedient, yet you haven’t had a desire or delight in doing it. This year, you will have both. I’m finding this to be coming to pass in my own life also.

What is amazing about this is a promise made that you shall eat the good of the land when you do. No longer does He want you to look at your land, but not eat of it. Rest assured that as you are willing and obedient, you will experience the good, the increase, and the fruitfulness in your life that you long for, that you know belongs to you.

As the potter does with the clay, let God shape you from being unwilling to willing, from disobedient to an obedience in that area that He’s been dealing with about, or that next step He’s being asking you to take. We all have our reasons, but we have to make that decision to refuse Him no more. Let Him move you from being one, or the other. Finally be a willing and obedient man. You can do it.

Prayer: I praise You Father for desiring Your best for my life and wanting me to experience all that You’ve ordained for me. Help me to not be just willing or obedient–one or the other. Help me Jesus to be both willing and obedient with what You’ve been dealing with me about. I won’t refuse You anymore. I will be a willing and obedient man. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
