Be a Willing and Obedient Man

April 3, 2020

“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land” Isaiah 1:19, NKJV.

Just like with Israel, it’s not only about being willing and having good intentions. It’s not only about being obedient. It’s about being both. God wants us to be willing and obedient.

As the potter does with the clay, let God shape you from being unwilling to willing, from disobedient to an obedience in what He’s been dealing with about, or that next step He’s been asking you to take. It could be something He wants you to act on, or it could be simply putting your trust in Him. We all have our reasons, but we have to make that decision to move forward in Him. Let Him move you into being both. Be a willing and obedient man. Rest assured that as you are willing and obedient, you will experience the good, the increase, and the fruitfulness in your life that you long for, that you know belongs to you. You can do it.

Prayer: Father, I praise You! I want Your best for me. I want to be a light in these times. Help me to not be just willing or obedient–one or the other. Help me, Jesus, to be both willing and obedient with what You’ve been dealing with me about. I won’t refuse You anymore. I will be a willing and obedient man. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
