“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” Matthew 6:33, NKJV.
Be the son who is after the heart of God, not the hand of God. It will keep your heart and motives right. Keep blessings in their proper place. Seek after being conformed to the image of Christ. Seek after the purpose and will of God for your life. God desires to give us the kingdom, but most importantly, it’s His desire for us to know the King of it. To take on the heart of the King of it. Yet when we seek His heart and want His will, He freely gives us what’s in His hands. The Father’s heart is to never withhold any good thing from you. The inheritance given too early harmed the prodigal son instead of blessing him. If He gives us what’s in His hands first, and we don’t seek His heart, it will harm us instead of bless us. Blessings will come when Jesus is our greatest blessing. Let Him be your first pursuit.
Prayer. Father, thank You that it’s not about being after Your hand, but after Your heart. I will not put blessings before You. Help me to always be a man who’s after Your heart. I’m after You, Jesus. I’m after living for you and being like you. A man of integrity. A submitted man. A loving man. A man who obeys you. Let that always be my heart. I thank You that as I seek Your heart, I will always freely receive Your hand. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
