“Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel”.Joshua 1:2, NKJV.
When we keep giving voice to something to a high degree from our past, it is an indicator that we haven’t been made free from something that happened and we’re living there. It is keeping you from wholly living now. God told Joshua Moses is dead. Let go, arise, go to the land I have for you.
That person, that situation, or even a multitude of them, whatever happened in the past is dead, and it may be one of the hardest things for you to do, but you have to let go, so we can completely step into what God has for us. Not just one foot, but both feet moving forward. All of you moving forward. There’s too much in front of you, to remain stuck in what’s behind you. Let go of the anger, the unforgiveness, your disappointment, and go on to what God wants to receive.
Instead, begin to give voice to what a good God is doing, how He’s moving right now, and that you’re moving with Him. Talk about God restoring your life. Talk about the doors He’s opening for you, as you let the past go.
Prayer: Father, I give You praise. Help me to quit talking about it and I ask that You do whatever You need to do in me. The reality is that situation is dead, and I can’t do anything about it. It’s time to let it go. Change my thoughts and change my talk. I trust You have great plans for me now and I will move on in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
