No Limitations

January 7, 2018

“Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations'” Jeremiah 1:5, NKJV.

God told Jeremiah what he was created for and what he was ordained to do. Yet, the first response of Jeremiah was his limitations instead of looking at the God Who is without them. “Then said I: ‘Ah, Lord God! Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth’.” The Lord told him not to say he is but a youth. Don’t say what you can’t do. Don’t speak of any limitations.

Any time you have to use your faith, the thoughts will come regarding the faults you’ve lived with. Others may not know, but you do. For some of us, it’s confidence. For others, it’s the lies that those around us have spoken that are totally unaware of the damage that was done to you simply believing in yourself. Some of us in are times of adversity, we give up. Some of us have been afraid for a while, and fear is choking the life out of us. If we focus on our limitations, we will be like a plane that just can never lift off the ground. It’s like saying I want to use my faith but my limitations aren’t strong enough to pick me up. It’s Jesus who makes us fly, not us. It’s Jesus that will make you soar, not you.

You don’t know how much the Lord has put in you, until now. You will go for it all this year. Realize and believe that you have no limits to doing what He’s ordained for you to do.

Prayer: Father, You don’t limit me so why should I. Help me not speak of any limitations. Let me focus on Your strength and not my own. Jesus makes us soar, not us. I’m going for it this year! I thank You that I have no limitations in doing what You’ve ordained me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
