“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39, NKJV.
I wake up this morning with a heavy heart to pray and fast for people impacted by the storms, and to pray against the hurricanes impacting many places right now. So much is happening and I just had to pray to God for all being affected by it.
Yet as I prayed, the boldness of God rose up in me and He told me to speak to the storm. Yes it is massive, but the Lord said believe and speak to it. Jesus said “Peace, be still!” to the storm and it ceased. The winds and the seas obey Him! Set yourself to believe in the authority we have in His mighty name and speak to the storms. Pray that these storms cease and dissipate before us.
Also, pray regarding the spiritual storms that we can’t see. There is something much bigger happening in this. There is something that God is saying through all of this and we as His people need to adhere to Him. God is love and He doesn’t tempt with evil to get man to change, nor does He send the storm, but He does speak through them. God is speaking through all of this. He is speaking to His people. He is speaking to those that have rejected His Son. He is speaking to nations.
“Turn to Me. Turn to Me so I can make the real storms cease. Life is found in Me. Healing is found in Me. Peace is found in Me. Repent and turn to Me mighty nations. Turn to Me.”
Prayer: Father, You are carrying people through the storms. I believe in the power of prayer, and declare protection and provision. We speak to the storm and it must obey You! I also pray for the bigger message You are speaking through all of this. I pray that men’s eyes are opened now! I pray America turns to You! Surrounding nations turn to You. Let the Body of Christ rise among us! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
