“God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble” Psalm 46:1, NKJV.
God is a very present help in time of trouble. One of the names of God is Jehovah Shammah–the Lord Who is there. Scripture also says the Lord’s ears are attentive to the prayers of the righteous, and He answers us when we call. This is an indicator of how close God is. You are in the palm of His hands, and no one can pluck you out of them. Jesus calls you friend, and is the Friend Who sticks closer than a brother.
God has a pulse on your every situation. You are never left or counted out. Always welcomed into His presence. He knows exactly where you are. He knows exactly what you’re going through. He is close to answer. He is close to defend. He is close to a radically change your life. He’s not far out of reach. Like your phone, He’s only a call away. Thank God for how close He is to you, to help you walk mighty and in victory.
Prayer. Father. You are good, and you are faithful. Thank You for being this close. Help me to always have an awareness of your presence. and awareness of Your Spirit living in me to lead and guide me. You will never leave me, nor forsake me. Even in trouble, You are right here walking with me and upholding me. You’re closer to me than a brother. You’re closer to me than my wife. I praise You, Lord, for being by my side. Thank you, Father, for being close. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
