“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23, NKJV.
“…And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’” Acts 20:35, NKJV.
Jesus changes behavior. He is the change our behavior needed. He changes how we behave when we’re at home, in the workplace, and in the grocery store. It’s how we behave in 5 o’clock traffic. When someone takes your parking spot that you were waiting for. When someone else gets the promotion. When you can forgive and restore someone. It’s all about changing our behavior.
In this hour, show the world you walk in a different behavior. You have the fruit of the Spirit that you let others eat of. A behavior that does not harm, but worships God and honors your fellow man. We love. We help. We bless. Sin has no reign over us. No matter what anyone or the devil does, we trust God will take care of us.
Let your goal today be a practical one– through Jesus, you have the Seed of a new behavior. Take up your cross, deny yourself, slow down, and respond in love like Him. In every moment, everywhere you go, everything that I do, let your light shine. They will see your good works, and most of all, see the Father’s love and glorify Him through you.
Prayer: Father, thank You that through Jesus, we can have a changed behavior. Change me in everything I say and everything we do. Because Jesus lives in me, I have the Seed of a new behavior. Sin has no rule over me. I have the fruit of the Spirit and Your love shed abroad in my heart. Holy Spirit, take over. I’m equipped to behave with love. May the love of Jesus be made known through me today in how I live and help others. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
