Your Point of Faith

“And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” Matthew 14:28-30, NKJV.

If you were on that boat and Jesus said come to you like Peter, would you have stepped out of the boat also? Would you have moved from just stepping out, to walking on the water? Now, would you have been that man that made it to Jesus? All of these are three different points of exercising faith. Examine at which point of faith you are at because the truth is you are at one them in your life.

Maybe Jesus has said to come do a work or something he has put on your heart to do and you have to step out in faith. Maybe you stepped out on His command, and by his hand you are doing the impossible. Yet, now you’ve encountered some strong winds, your faith is being tested, and you’re now wondering can you make it. Which ever point of faith you are at, Jesus is there to take you from faith to faith, and He will help you through them all. Even as a man you sank before, get back up and walk on that water again! He’ll meet you right at your point of faith and provide the courage you need to do His will.

Don’t be satisfied with only knowing Your calling and the joy that comes with hearing His plan for you. Don’t be satisfied with taking some steps toward where He’s called you. Let your goal be to make it to Jesus.

Prayer: Father, help me at my point of faith. You know where I am. Give me the courage to step out. Give me the courage to walk on the water and really live like I’ve never lived. Help me to go farther then I’ve ever gone toward who You are calling me to be. I won’t be satisfied until I finish everything You have for me to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
