“The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you” Jeremiah 31:3, ESV.

“See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are…” 1 John 3:1, ESV.

I’m glad I don’t have to change for God to love me. I have areas that God is working on me. I have quirks. I can be slow at obeying Him sometimes. I can be forgetful. I fight not to compare myself with others. But, He loves me like I am.

No man fronts. No ego. No pride belt. He loves you, my brother. He’s mindful of you. If you didn’t change, as a Father does a son, He would love you the same. There’s strength and joy as you grow in that. May you find forgiveness and bounce-back ability in that.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your great love for me. I can come to You as I am. You love me like I am. You’re working on all of us. Help me just keep my eyes on You, Jesus, and Your love, and trust You to take care of any change in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
