You’re not done yet. Help someone else rest.

“Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, ‘The Lord your God is giving you rest and is giving you this land.’ 1Your wives, your little ones, and your livestock shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side of the Jordan. But you shall pass before your brethren armed, all your mighty men of valor, and help them, until the Lord has given your brethren rest, as He gave you, and they also have taken possession of the land which the Lord your God is giving them…” Joshua 1:13-15, NKJV.

The Lord had given Joshua rest on every side, yet God said I want your brethren to enter into the same rest you have too. My brother, you’ve entered in and all is well. You’ve been converted, and now God wants you to help strengthen your brothers. Help them rest like you’re resting in God. Help them see God as you see Him. Teach another brother to walk in His ways. You help another brother possess the land like you. Be a restorer, as God is a restorer to you.

Jesus came from His throne to save us and help us enter in. Then, when His assignment was done, He went back home to His rest, sitting on the right hand of the Father. You’re not done when you enter into rest. You’re done when you help someone else rest. One day, it will be your time to go home too. Until then, enjoy your life but advance the kingdom.

Prayer: Father, I’m so grateful for the rest you’ve given me. You’ve blessed me with rest all around. Help me to help my brothers enter into your rest. They need to know you and how to possess the land you’ve given them. I can enjoy life but keep my focus on advancing the kingdom. People need the Jesus in me right now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
