“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV.
“But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive” Genesis 50:20, NKJV.
My wife and I have six kids, and I absolutely love them. Yet it’s hard sometimes, and I ask myself why in the world we had six of them. But I can’t return them like a shirt I bought from a store. I come to the reality that it’s something that I can’t change. So that’s when I look up and God looks back at me with His perspective and He reminds me He knew it all and everything will be alright. Then, without them knowing my moment of struggle, I go slap my kids a big high five, love on them, and tell them it’s a great day!
In your life, there can be things that happen or decisions you have made that you can’t change. There’s no receipt. But choose not to walk around in regret, and choose to trust God. You have to choose to look up and live. It may not change, but you can. And in God… there is always grace and there is always a way. It’s up to you to take God’s hand and let Him lead you into enjoying your life and find the blessings in the midst of what you can’t change.
Prayer: Father, I needed to hear this. Thank You! I receive Your heart, Your perspective, Your attitude, and let Your grace kick in to help me live, help me thrive, and help me see every blessing in the midst of what I can’t change. I rebuke regret and fear. In Christ I choose to move forward, trusting You still have an awesome plan for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
