“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” Hebrews 10:24-25, NKJV.
I heard the Lord say, He is coming back for His church and He wants every one of His children to be planted in a local body of believers. They will help hold you accountable, help you grow in your relationship with God and help you fully discover and fulfill God’s purpose and plan for your life. Anyone who chooses to disobey God and not be planted somewhere is being deceived by the enemy and is in a state of rebellion. Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, which means when you don’t obey God, you are giving the enemy freedom to operate in your life and in your home. Don’t do that, my brother. Get plugged in. Let God plant you and your family in a church home so you can learn and grow and be all that God created you to be and do all He’s equipped you to do.
As long as a pastor is following Jesus, you can follow them. The moment they stop following Jesus, it’s time to go and let God lead you to a new place of worship. As long as a pastor is preaching and teaching the truth of God’s Word without compromise, you can follow them. The moment they close the Bible and chooses to preach another doctrine other than the truth of Jesus, it’s time to go.
No matter your personal beliefs about church, the Bible tells us not to be unwise, but to understand what the will of the Lord is. It is God’s will that you be planted in a local body of believers. He is coming back for His people. Get plugged in with His people, and He will bless you and use you to be a blessing!
Prayer: Father, please forgive me for anything I’ve said against your pastors and the church that was not right. Help me to see the body of Christ the way you see us. Open my eyes to your truth. Heal any hurt that was caused by someone in spiritual leadership over me in the past. Tear down any and every stronghold in my mind that’s distorting my view. Give me a submissive and teachable spirit. Help me learn how to submit to spiritual authority as unto you. Lead me and guide me to where you want me to be planted. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
