“But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” 2 Timothy 4:5, NKJV.
If you look around you, there are people in need of the Lord. Yet, you also don’t have to look or go far. Like a fruit tree, they are like fruit already in arm’s reach. They are fruit within your reach of influence. They are those close to you. They are your family members and friends. They’re your colleagues at work. They are your neighbors right next door or on your block, you already have a door of utterance to.
Do the work of an evangelist. People are leaving the earth. Work while it’s day because the night is coming when no man can work. There are people around you that you can share the love of Jesus with. You can lend a hand. You can show them that God cares about them. You can call them and pray with them. You can plant seeds and water them. God chose you, picked you as fruit in the earth, and now He says go bear your seed. Jesus is your seed. You have the seed of Christ in you, and if you trust Him, as you have the heart to reach with, He will use you to change someone’s life. scatter your seed with joy and expectation, and let God handle the fruit that comes.
Prayer. Father, thank You for making sharing the gospel simple. Help me to share my story. Help me to go after the fruit that is in arm’s reach. I’ll share my story. Help me to be a blessing. I’ll do a small act of kindness to show You see them. I don’t have to know everything about Your word. I just have to reach. Jesus, You are all I need to do the work of an evangelist and win the lost. I pray in advance that You prepare their hearts to perceive. As I reach, I thank you, Father, for producing great fruit and bringing You great glory as I walk out the Great Commandment. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
