“And he said, “Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s” 2 Chronicles 20:15, NKJV.
When you are in a battle, it can appear like God is nowhere in sight. As a man, it can seem like you have to take matters into your own hands and get it done. But be encouraged not to take the position of God. Your position is not and never will be, to fight the battle.
Your position isn’t to fight the battle but to have faith in the One Who fights all your battles for you. Your position is faith! Your position is not fear nor confusion. Your position is not depression or to live without hope. Your God is always in His position to fight for you, and He will. He desires that you be a light in the midst of it. Obey Him in the midst of it. Be an example of trust and praise in the midst of it.
If you look back over your life, even when you didn’t realize it, your God has fought and won many battles for you. This will be no different. Maintain your faith stance, let God be God, and fight your battles. For the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s!
Prayer: Father, I give You praise this morning. I don’t have to take matters into my own hands. The battle is yours! You fight all my battles! Help me not to take Your position but to keep my position of faith. Help me to be a light to the unbeliever and an example of how to trust in You in the midst of a battle. I praise You now! Guide my steps, Father, and I thank You for winning this for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
