“Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home. John 19:25-27, NKJV.
Even while Jesus was on the cross, enduring all manner of agony and pain, Mary was there. Mom never left His side. Now, when her son needed her the most, Mom was there.
When you needed her the most, your mom, or someone like a mother to you, was there. God made mom as a masterpiece of love and strength. Aside from Him, He created her to help you know better. Encourage you through your mistakes and disappointments, through trouble, and through the times you needed prayer. Mom prayed you through. Your mother may have passed away, but her words and example are still blessing your life. Remember her and smile at her today, and say you would be proud, Momma. I’m alright because of you!
Thank the Moms in your life for all she has done for you. Give her honor, appreciation, and care this Mother’s Day!
Prayer: Father, I praise you and thank you for my wife and my Mom. I love and honor them. I pray they feel overwhelmed with love, honor, and adoration today. They are the greatest examples of the love you give us. Bless all Mothers and my wife in a special way today. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!
