Refuse to let your job burden you.

“The good person is generous and lends lavishly; no shuffling or stumbling around for this one, but a sterling and solid and lasting reputation. Unfazed by rumor and gossip, heart ready, trusting in God, spirit firm, unperturbed, ever blessed, relaxed among enemies” Psalm 112:6-7, The Message Bible.

The workplace can be a very stressful place for us men. There are stressors pertaining to performance, promotion pursuits, and job security. People you work with have personal issues and things they are fighting to work through in their own lives. The people you work with may be stressed, afraid, anxious, impatient, and worried about all the above. Yet, your heavenly Father says don’t you be that way. Keep your joy and peace. Keep the word He told you when you prayed about your workplace, when you prayed about your purpose there. Don’t stress out over your job or your pursuit of promotion–He is the One who holds every outcome in your life, not man.

He says for all your demands, give them to Me. He says to do what’s right, honor Him on your job, and trust Him with the rest. Don’t live heavy due to your job. He says keep your eyes on what is most important in life, not a company or business, but on Him, your family, and your assigned kingdom work.

Prayer: Father, I give you praise this morning! Thank You for Your truth, which has removed the heaviness and stress from me. You are right, Lord! Life is short, and I choose not to stress about this stuff. I will do my best as unto You and let You handle every outcome. Have a good time at work and enjoy your life. May my attitude of trust in You impact those around me, too. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
