“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm” Mark 4:39, NKJV.
Some things may feel chaotic in and around your life. Some things may feel like pressure and even feel as if you are being rushed to make decisions. Fear rushes, and you may not know what to do, but the enemy will say you have to do something now, or something not good will happen.
In the middle of it, Jesus says, peace! Be still! Slow down for a moment. Listen for God’s voice about what you’re experiencing. Quiet yourself and let the Holy Spirit show you something that you may not see. He wants to open your eyes of understanding so you can make the right decisions, so you can see what God sees about what you’re going through and why you’re going through it. Slowing down to seek God is never lost time.
As you step back to listen, watch God give you the wisdom you need to go forward and do what you couldn’t do yourself. Watch God bring a divine rescue. He’s going to do beyond what you can ask or think, all because you decided to slow down and listen to Him.
Prayer: Father, I praise you! I speak your word over my life, “Peace, be still!” I will not slow down and listen to the chaos, the trial, the challenge. I will slow down and listen to you. Open my eyes of understanding, Holy Spirit. Speak to me. Reveal to me your will, and that’s what I will do. I thank you for divine rescue. As I put my faith in you, I thank you for doing beyond what I can ask or think. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
