“Pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live” 1 Thessalonians 5:17-18, MSG.

When God’s word says to pray without ceasing, this means to always be talking to God. You may not be able to do it with your mouth, but you can with your heart always turning to God and listening to His voice. To the degree of decisions you have, is how much you should consult with the Father about them. You’ll find yourself talking to God all the time, asking Him questions about everything you go through. Even as you interact with people, He’ll speak to you about that person. You want to be so in sink with His will at all times, which comes to talking to Him and letting Him talk to you.

Wherever you are, that’s where He is, and He never sleeps nor slumbers. You not only talk to Him at home in your place of prayer, you can talk to Him at work. You can draw near to Him in jail at midnight and He’s right there. Jesus said He will never leave us nor forsake us.

While you’re never ceasing to stop talking to Him, you will find He’ll never cease answering you, even while reading His word. The Holy Spirit will lead you and guide you into all truth. This is what He wants, just as a good Father. He will reveal things, show you new things, comfort you through difficult times, teach you how to live, and give you His success.

Prayer: Father, I praise You for a new day. Give me understanding and help me to pray without ceasing. Help me to always be talking with You in my heart so You can direct my path. I desire to know You more, and Your will for my life. Lead me and guide me Holy Spirit. As I talk to You Father, I will thank You and I know You will answer me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
