“And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” Ephesians 5:18-19, NKJV.
“…‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6, NKJV.
When you begin your day, get filled up with God. Don’t live today on empty, or half a tank. Act on His word and praise God, and let His Spirit fill your cup. Pray, give Him praise and glory. Worship the Lord and spend time in His presence. Bless the Lord and thank Him for all He has done. Don’t stop in your time with God until you are filled with the Spirit.
By His Spirit, you are empowered to do what God wants you to do. By His Spirit, you will be given boldness to speak. His Spirit will say go here or there. His Spirit will unction you on how He says to work it out. Let go of trying to figure it out in these times, even by your power to reason, and give the Holy Spirit room to fill you and do great things in your life today.
Prayer: Father, as I focus on you, fill my cup this morning. Fill me with your peace and love. Fill me with your joy. Fill me with your power. Hallelujah! You are good and your mercy endures forever! There is none like you! Fill me Holy Spirit! By your Spirit, overflow and do awesome things in my life today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
