“Return to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you” Psalm 116:7, NKJV.
The Psalmist said they will sing because the Lord has dealt bountifully with them. Bountiful in Hebrew means to treat someone well or to benefit them. It also means to requite, reward, or repay back. It’s simply synonymous with doing good.
I declare today will be a bountiful day for you. The Lord has dealt bountifully with you, and you will see the fruit of that in your life. Like wings, He overs your life. Being reminded of all He has done is always an indicator of what the Lord will always do, and it will help your soul to rest. You don’t have to worry or fret but rejoice. Tell your soul to be at rest. You have a heavenly Father that watches over you and has dealt bountifully with you.
Prayer: Father, I praise you! I receive your word, and I will expect bountifulness in my life. You even repay and defend me. Help my soul to not only rest, but be a man that rejoices over you today. All these years, you have dealt bountifully with me, and today will be the same. Thank you, Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
