Goodness follows you.

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” Psalm 23:6, NKJV.

The goodness of God is following you. Everywhere you go, it’s there. You can’t shake it. It’s fixed to you, even closer to you than your very shadow. No matter what you’ve been through or how deep the experience, God has commanded goodness to follow you. It has one duty and is on assignment each day. Right in the thick of where you are, it may feel like a forest, but God’s goodness is in bushes, ready to get to you first. Ready to work all things for your good. It may seem like that blessing got away, but goodness shows up and says it didn’t–God just wanted me to show up with something better. God says He’s going to cause you to forget about what you thought you lost.

Prayer: Father, glory! Thank you that goodness runs after me. It’s chasing me. I decide to let goodness meet me right where I am and bless me. Let it minister to all regret or missteps and bring an ocean of joy into my life. I rejoice to day knowing your goodness and mercy is following me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
