There’s power in your scars.

Then He said to Thomas, ‘Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.’ And Thomas answered and said to Him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ ” John 20:27-28, NKJV.

Jesus was okay with showing someone scars. Our Savior and risen King showed Thomas He had been through something too, for the benefit of helping him believe.

It’s not always the victories that win others. It’s not always the blessings. It’s the scars. It’s the scars we let someone be touched with and feel. It’s the scars that speak, and say I’ve been through something too. Be open to sharing your authentic testimony, your story, like Jesus. Look and see. I even know what it’s like to go through what you’re going through. Yet, you chose to believe, and now you can testify with joy the Lord will do just what He said He promised. Jesus will cause them to be moved to believe–just like Thomas did.

Prayer: Father, you are good! You made my scars my testimony. There’s power in my scars. I stand today blessed because of you. Holy Spirit, help me to be open and unashamed about what you brought me through. Use it to help someone move from doubting to believing you Jesus, and that you will do what you said you will do in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
