“Rejoice in the LORD always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Philippians 4:4, NIV.
There’s no middle ground to God regarding when to rejoice. There’s no room given to any time when things get so tough that the Father says you don’t have to do it this time. The decision and attitude to it all is to always rejoice. Therefore, when you’ve obeyed God and when you’ve missed it. When you have the finances to spend and when you don’t. When all is well with your marriage, or you’re at odds, and you were on the couch. He tells us to rejoice always because circumstances may change, yet our God remains the same.
Rejoice is not a decision to be religious; it is a powerful decision to apply your faith in your Waymaker, the One that promised joy will come in the morning. Let Him get the glory right now in your response. Be encouraged to believe that the Father is on your side and will bless you to get you through it, so always tell your soul to rejoice!
Prayer: Father, I thank you. No matter what I face today, I will rejoice! Help me, LORD, to always rejoice. Help me not to worry, get angry, or be fearful, but to know you never leave my side, so I can always give you praise. This too, shall pass! I receive any instruction to navigate me through it. Be glorified in how I yield to the victorious wisdom you provide me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
