“Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock” Luke , 6:47-48, NKJV.
When the storms come, and the winds blow, who is it that will hold you down? The Rock, Jesus Christ. This is why you build your house on the Rock for moments like these. It’s not only for when things are going good but when you feel like they are going bad.
You may be experiencing unexpected trouble or despair. Yet, God says He’s your Rock. Hold to what is true and right. Hold on to the Rock that is holding on to you. It, too, will pass, and you’re going to still be standing. Rejoice now because His word says you can’t be shaken.
Prayer: Father, thank you for being my Rock. As I hold to the truth of your word and do what you say, you are holding on to me. Help me rest my thoughts on your promises that do not fail. My house has been built on you and on the truth that you love me. I cannot be shaken. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
