“Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia” Acts 16:6, NKJV.
As Paul went forward in spreading the Gospel, there were some places that the Holy Spirit told him not to go. For whatever reason, he was forbidden to go to Asia. The Holy Spirit also told him not to go to Bithynia. However, he was given a vision from God about a man in Macedonia, and that’s where he knew the Holy Spirit was leading him to go. Paul had a powerful relationship with the Holy Spirit, cooperating with Him, and allowing Him to lead the way.
As Paul cooperated with the Holy Spirit, so can you. It is possible to be guided by the Spirit of God even now, right where you are in your life. Some things the Holy Spirit is firmly telling you not to do. There are also things He has placed on your heart to do. Listen to Him. There is a direction or course that the Holy Spirit is telling you to take, and if you follow Him, follow peace, He will lead you into God’s will for you.
God has much to accomplish in you and through you. Stay sensitive to His leading. God is greatly desiring to bless you and move in your life.
Prayer: Father, thank you for your Spirit that leads and guides me. Help me recognize when you are unction me, Holy Spirit. I ask for the answers, the clarity, and the direction I need for my life. I want your will for my life, and you will never steer me wrong. Day by day, teach me Holy Spirit to check in with you and cooperate with you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
