“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” Ephesians 6:17 NKJV.
For daily victories, even the one you’re standing and expecting of God for, and to build your faith it takes the word of God–the sword of the Spirit. When you put His word in you, at any given moment, the Holy Spirit uses the word like a sword to help you dominate over your adversary, to help you through tough moments. When you are faced with a decision requiring your faith, the Spirit reminds you of what God says, and you advance. When the devil tells you one thing, the Spirit quickly pulls out the truth of the word and tells you another. You can remind and encourage yourself with another. Yet without it, you are like a gladiator armored down with no sword, and it is only a matter of time that your adversary will wear you down and dominate over you because you don’t have a word life.
Jesus is the Word (John 1:14) and the more of His word you put it your heart, the more you become like him. The more you become like Him, the more you dominate, the more you walk in faith, the more you will advance this year!
Prayer: Father, thank you for your mighty word. Help me to not only can pray and praise you but I have the sword of the Spirit–your word that I put in my heart each day. I ask for a great desire, a discipline and habit of reading and studying the Bible. Your word is the key to moving forward and being who You have called me to be. It’s the key to every victory. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
