“But He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me” 2 Corinthians 12:9, Amplified.
You were never called to be self-reliant. You are called to a complete reliance on God. This reliance is where grace, your anchor of faith, comes from. You may feel weak or tired, but in those moments, the Father says let Me be your chair, lean back in Me, and rely on Me to hold you up.
It wasn’t your strength then, and it won’t be your own strength now. It will never be your hedge of protection. It will always be His hedge of protection. The joy of the Lord keeps you strong. No matter what is surrounding you, the Lord has you surrounded. Admit your weakness and watch Him be your strength. Don’t tackle it alone. It is the Lord that bears you up, and He will take care of you in great and miraculous ways.
Prayer: Father, I am in awe of you and all you are. I am thankful I can lean back and rely on You. Help me not try to rely on myself. I bless your name for the glory being revealed in me. Help me to come and press into more of you. Be my joy and strength today. I depend on you, and I will watch you do great and miraculous things for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
