The ultimate price.

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]” John 10:10, Amplified.

A good father will pay the price so his children can have the best life he can give them. Remember, Jesus gave His life and paid the ultimate price. He not only died on the cross. He lived sinless, overcoming every struggle, and then went to the cross. Holy. Pure. The price is too great for you to receive little in life.

He didn’t pay this price so that you could get by. He didn’t pay it so that you can lose at life. Your days aren’t meant to be lived bound and filled with worry but redeemed and free. He paid for something greater. You’ve been given eternal life to come and abundant life today. He defeated sin each day, so you can reign over sin and live each day abundantly, uncondemned, and unashamed. He reigned in His life, and now you can reign through Him in your life. He did what he did so you can have what God has promised, and you can refuse to experience less than God’s plan. Whom the Son set free is free indeed.

That’s what remembering the ultimate price Jesus paid will do.

Prayer: Father, I give you praise, and I thank you, Jesus, for the ultimate price you paid for me. You did it for me. You reign over sin and the devil every day. Help me to remember what you did and refuse to live anything less than an abundant life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
