“Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness” Psalm 143:10, NKJV.
When a student doesn’t know how to do what they’ve been instructed to do, a good teacher will take the time to show them how.
Like that student, I have to admit I need help in my life. There are some things I have found myself continually doing, even when I make a great effort to stop. I have also found myself knowing what to do, yet I still haven’t changed my ways for some reason. I need God to teach me to do His will.
This goes beyond us just knowing or being aware of what to do. This goes beyond even understanding it. It is when our actions catch up to where our heart is because our sincere desire is for more of God. When our actions show, we want to arrive at the places God wants to take us in our lives. It is when our actions show we don’t want the sin or something else in our lives that is secretly harming and hindering us.
Ask God to teach you to do His will. No matter where you are, He is still your God, and His Spirit is there to help. His Spirit is good. If you allow Him to teach you and yield, He will lead you into a great, abundant place for your life.
Prayer: Father, You are my God. Teach me. I don’t want to keep doing the same things in my life. Step by step, teach me Your ways. Show me how to love under pressure, respond to others and be wise. Help me to apply Your word. I ask for a hearing ear and a humble heart so You can teach me to do Your will. Thank You in advance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Those words was very powerful. True and was speaking directly at me. Thanks Heavenly Father for giving me your words of wisdom. Amen
