“He said to them, ‘But who do you say that I am?’ Simon Peter answered and said, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.’…’And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it’” Matthew 16:15-18, NKJV.

Jesus asked Simon Peter who he was, and he told Him He is the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus then responds with you are not Simon Peter anymore. You are now Peter—a rock—and he received who Jesus said he was.

Like Peter, you know Who Jesus is, and the greatest blessing in life is for Him to be revealed to you. But that’s not all. In the Lord’s love, goodness and truth, He says this is who you are. It can be a fight to believe it sometimes, but like Peter, he wants you believe.

If the Lord calls you strong, you are strong.
If He calls you great, you are great.

You may have had some stumbles, as we all have, but that doesn’t change what he says about you. That doesn’t change who you are. You may have weapons formed against you, but that doesn’t change the truth that the gates of hell will not prevail against you. You are victorious. You have promises that won’t fail. You are a new in Christ, and now you can leap over a wall and run through a troop. No demon in hell can stop you from your calling and destiny.

You are who God says you are, and you will do what God says you can do!

Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for the revelation I have of You. I stand and believe deep down who You say that I am. I can do what you say I can do. There are no limits in my life. I am forgiven and new. I am full of power and authority. I receive and believe who you say that I am. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
