“Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose” Proverbs 18:21, Message Bible.
I was in a conversation with a friend and he shared how he was teased when he was younger. Yet, they are much older now, and they contend with those same words—words that affect their faith and confidence.
Whether when you were younger or older when something negative was spoken over you, no words have more power than the word of God and what He says about you. God’s truth will break any hold on you, heal you and free you to be who He created you to be with confidence. He says you can do all things through Christ which strengthens you. He says He won’t fail you. He is Who your confidence stands in. Your faith doesn’t stand in your own power or ability, but in God’s.
I declare an uprooting of those negative words, and a planting of life-filled words that are taking root. Receive His truth deep down within you and the confidence you need to be everything God called you to be.
Prayer: Father, I thank You! No one knows, but I need You to minister and heal me in this area. I ask for more confidence. Uproot any destructive words that have affected my faith and confidence in who I am, even without knowing, and I choose to receive what You say about me. I put my confidence in You. I am Who You say I am and I will be everything You say I can be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
