“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law” Galatians 5:22-23, NKJV.

The Bible refers to love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control as the fruit of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is like a mighty tree that produces all of this amazing fruit, and just like physical fruit, they are good and they satisfy.

No matter the situation, if you live in the Spirit, you will produce whatever fruit your challenge calls for because this mighty Tree doesn’t grow in the ground. This mighty Tree lives in you.

Everything you need to maintain your stance as a light for God in these times, to love, to have self-control, to do good, to be a man of joy and peace, and respond like Him each day, is found not in your own ability, but by walking in the Holy Spirit.

The key is starting your day, by giving God your day. Then, have a continued fellowship with Him, and allow His Spirit to reign by yielding to Him. Like naturally a healthy tree bears fruit, the Holy Spirit will powerfully bear His fruit in and through you, even when you didn’t expect to. Even when you didn’t know you could show love that way, His fruit will rise in a situation and give you victory.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your mighty Spirit that lives inside of me. I give You my day. As I start my day and leave my home, help me to constantly fellowship with You. Help me to stay full of Your Spirit, that I may glorify You by bearing powerful fruit in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
