You Can Rest

“Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God” Hebrews 4:1, 9, NKJV.

God wants us to enter into a place of rest in our lives. It’s a place when daily stuff doesn’t bother us like it use to. Things that use to occupy our hearts because we’re worried about them, don’t bother us like they use to. We believe God and we have entered into His rest for our souls.

God doesn’t want your rest and peace to be dictated by circumstances; that isn’t real. If good things are happening, you’re a happy man. Yet, if you make an error, have a problem, if your sales decline, if a co-worker says something wrong, or if your money gets low, in an instant, your mood changes. Just like you put a letter within an envelope and seal it there, God wants you to put your faith in Him and seal it there–and rest.

He will handle every matter in life. As a parent tells their child to trust they will take care of it, so does God say to you. He has a real rest and a real peace He wants you to walk in today, and be a light for Him.

Prayer: Father, I desire real peace and real rest. Help me to believe You when you tell me You got me. I come against anxiety, stress and moodiness. I will not come short of this promised rest. I thank You for rest and peace because I believe You. I believe Your word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
