“And he said to Him, ‘All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.’ Then Jesus said to him, ‘Away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him” Matthew 4:9-11, NKJV.

Multiple times Jesus countered with the Word of God specific to the fight He was in. Just as a physical bout, for every lie from Satan, Jesus had a truth from God ready to counter it and overcome.

You may find yourself as Jesus, having to counter blows with whatever is coming against you. Like concentrating on working out certain muscle areas to strengthen them, concentrate putting into your heart and speaking specific scriptures to fight against what you are being tempted or challenged with. Meditate on what God says specific to your battle, concentrated to that fight.

If you are battling against depression, Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”, which can be used to help you know what you’re capable of. Yet, put into your heart a scripture that specifically ministers to you even deeper, such as Psalm 3:3 “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head” or Psalm 112:4 “Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness…”. This helps you make a concentrated fight and allows God’s powerful word to minister to you exactly where you need it the most.

God’s word is so vast, yet so specific, and He meant it to be. He knew exactly what you would be going through and He has words of victory for everything you face. He put it all there. The more specific word you use, the more powerful your fight of faith will be.

Prayer: Father, thank You for Your word. Your word has it all! Help me to give time to it and help me walk in a concentrated fight, receiving Your word in the area I need it. Teach me, fill me, encourage me, reveal to me as soon as I read Your word specific for my fight. I thank You for being victorious over the enemy, just like Jesus is. Hallelujah! In Jesus name, Amen!
