“Blessed is the man You choose, and cause to approach You, that he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, of Your holy temple” Psalm 65:4, NKJV.
If you stay before God long enough, you’ll receive what you need. I was on my way home from work one day and I really needed something from God. I was just listening to the radio, then I began to praise God in spite of how I felt. I began to cry out to God and declare my place in Christ. Then, the Holy Spirit began to move, I found myself in the presence of God, and He told me don’t leave. Stay long enough and get what you need. In fifteen minutes in His presence, He gave me what I needed and more.
As you thank God and open up to Him with what is going on in your life, God could move on your heart in your car, in your jail cell, on your lunch break, while you are on the dock in the warehouse, or in your time with Him in the morning. Recognize when the Holy Spirit is moving upon your heart and don’t leave His presence so quickly. Even at work, you can take a few minutes and stay before Him as He speaks to you. Don’t be in a hurry. You may need to wait for a moment and be still before Him, as He gives you what you need. You’ll find it doesn’t take God long to minister to you, to speak a word into your life.
Prayer: Father, thank You that You satisfy us. You move upon our hearts by Your Spirit and you always greatly minister to us. Whenever I’m praising You or seeking You, help me to recognize when I’m in Your presence and stay before you long enough to receive what I need from You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
