“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” Matthew 6:33, NKJV.
Sometimes as men we wonder why we aren’t as blessed, fulfilled, happy and at peace as we would like in our lives. In my own life, when I truly began to seek God’s kingdom and righteousness first, I became more blessed than I ever have in my entire life. Examine what are you pursuing and truly pressing toward. It may because you’re seeking the kingdom; however, you aren’t seeking the kingdom first.
There’s so much happening in these times and everything you see around you says let go of the kingdom and His righteousness. Don’t be deceived. Don’t be moved. God’s Word and His ways have not changed. What God said He will do has not changed. Seek His kingdom and His righteousness first, and no matter what is happening in the world, He will add the very things to you that you put the kingdom ahead of.
Money follows ministry–your service. Fulfillment will follow your ministry. It isn’t the other way around. Make the adjustment. Seek establishing God’s reign and His righteousness, His way of doing things in every area of your life. Keep seeking first to make God-directed decisions and impact lives in any way you can in this season of your life. He will never fail to abundantly take care of you.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Your Word. Forgive me if I have been worrying about this life and improperly seeking the things You said You would add to me. I desire to be a man full of joy, at peace and fulfilled. I’m seeking Your kingdom and Your righteousness first, trusting You will handle the rest. Show me how to advance Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
