You Should Praise God

“So David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight…” 2 Samuel 6:21-22, NKJV.

Think about who you were. Now, think about who you are. You should praise God. What were you in, that He brought you out of? You should praise God. Where would you be as a man right now if the Lord would not have helped you in your life? You should praise God.

David danced out of his clothes because he considered just how much the Lord had done for him. God took him from watching over sheep, and out of anyone He could have chosen, to choosing him to be king over Israel. He thought of his own journey, his own walk of faith and all the times that the Lord provided for him. Through every fight, God delivered him out of them all and brought him to this blessed place in his life.

It’s always in order to remember where the Lord has brought you from and never allow where you would like to be to hinder your praise. It will cause you to truly humble yourself and thank Him.

Prayer: Father, when I look back and think about who I was and who I am, I praise You. I can’t even count all that You have done. I praise You because You did it, not me. I humble myself and thank You for it all. Help me to never forget all that You have done for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
